She also appeared in other TV serials and in television commercials, reality shows, plays et al, and she started working in Bhojpuri movies towards the later part of her career. She contested for the reality show Big Boss 4, and has judged the Star Plus reality dance show Aajaa Mahi Vay. Shweta married Raja Chaudhary in the year 1998. Nine years later, the couple divorced. Shweta gave birth to a daughter called Palak, in the year 2000.
Raja Chaudary is a film producer and an actor but more famously known for his participation in Big Boss 2. He hails from Meerut, UP and married Shweta Tiwari in Dec 1999. The couple has worked together in a Bhojpuri film and also in television serials including Your Honour, Daddy Samjha Karo and Aane Wala Pal. During the year 2010, Raja was accused and arrested for beating his girlfriend Shraddha Sharma at his residence at Oshiwara.

In the August of 2008 Shweta spoke about her disintegrated marriage with Raja Chaudhary. She disclosed in an interview that “I don’t mind telling my fans and audiences that I’m going through a divorce and that I don’t stay with Raja (Chaudhary, husband) any longer”. After incidents of physical abuse with Raja she had filed a police complaint on cases of ‘domestic violence’ before making a public statement about her marriage.

Palak Tiwari has witnessed her parents’ break up at a young age. However, she remains close to Shweta and Raja, regardless of their personal differences. On winning Big Boss 4 and pocketing Rs. 1 crore, she dedicated the prize money to her daughter Palak Tiwari.

In an interview Raja Chaudhary was quoted saying, “My daughter Palak’s holidays are starting from 1st May, so we will be going out of India for our vacation. We will be going to Hong Kong or Disneyland. She is very fond of Disney. She is crazy for games so Disney is a good destination for her. We are planning our holiday in a way that Shweta can also come with us. This is not Palak’s first trip to abroad.
