Get Well Soon Raja

Raja Chaudhary’s infamous activities have caught a lot of attention off late. Now, the estranged husband of TV actor Shweta Tiwari has been admitted to the rehabilitation centre of Masina Hospital in Byculla where he is undergoing treatment. Sources say Raja is responding well to the treatment and has tilted a little towards spirituality.

One of the ward boys says on condition of anonymity, “When Raja was admitted he was very hyper. He has been responding well to the treatment. He has become a little spiritual too. With meditation, he has found solace in spirituality. He has mellowed down a lot.”

Varsha Patkar, clinical psychologist and therapist says, “We are very happy with the way Raja is responding to the treatment. It’s basically a stress management programme, which includes activities like relaxation through yoga and meditation, cognitive behaviour modification and counselling.”

When quizzed about Raja turning to spirituality, she says, “I don’t want to comment on that and I doubt whether a ward boy is familiar with the process of our treatment. They must have assumed meditation and yoga as a part of spirituality.”

Raja was admitted about 10 days ago. “If he continues to respond to the treatment like he is doing now, we might release him next week,” Patkar ends.
